Hallo Tempo-Friends
Just after posting a 'search' notice on the bulletin board for Tempo Hanseat parts I received an email from a guy called Antonio Barry (Antonio.barry123@gmail.com) who claimed to be in Sweden selling a Tempo for parts. I replied but when he sent me a photo I became suspicious. The photo he sent was small and was very poor quality, but it showed a fully restored, museum quality Hanseat. I questioned why he wanted to part out a fully restored vehicle but he was evasive. I then did a picture search and sure enough I found the picture belonged to a German auto museum. Needless to say I did not respond further.
I don't know if anyone else has experienced this; I may have been targeted as my bulletin message was in English. Nevertheless, it is a timely reminder to trust your instincts and be careful out there. Beware!

The board is not protected so it happens quite frequently - especially if your posting is in English language and you post an email address.

To post a positive example, I got a reply from someone in Uruguay for Wiking parts and paid by paypal. Never heard anything for 6 month, not even a reply to any further email. I was accepting the risk when making the payment so did not bother. By surprise, I received a package last month which obviously took more than 5 month to arrive (post stamps) + customs clearance as obviously cheapest postage does mean very slow sea freight... So now I am proud owner of a new carburator, rebuild kit and some other parts.
